Keith LeBrun, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department
2010-2011 Executive Director
Keith
began his law enforcement career in 1988 when he became a Deputy with the Los
Angeles County Sheriff's Department. After working in one of the L.A. County
jails for four years, he transferred to Lakewood Sheriff's Station where he
worked patrol for just under eight years. Keith was selected to work in the LASD JDIC Unit in 2000, and is currently his department's CLETS instructor. In
addition to training, he is involved in all aspects of his departments dealings
with CLETS/NCIC. He also assists users of the LASD message switch, and provides
assistance to members of his agency and other L.A. County agencies as needed.
Keith
has been involved in CCUG since 2000. He has stayed active by attending
meetings, and in July of 2002, assumed the duties of Southern Chapter Secretary
to complete a term that had been vacated. In 2003 Keith served as the Southern
Chapter Assistant Director, which was followed by his being elected to serve as
Executive Director in 2004-2005. Following his term as Executive Director
he served as the Southern Chapter Treasurer in 2006 and as the Southern Chapter
Assistant Director for the 2007-2008 term.
When the 2008-2009 Southern Chapter Director resigned, he was selected by the
Executive Board to take over as director for the remainder of that term. For
2010-2011 Keith was again elected to serve as Executive Director.
When he's not busy with work or CCUG, Keith likes to spend time reading, doing
home improvements, and spending time with family.
