Jennifer Root, Lodi Police Department
2008 Central Chapter Secretary

 Jennifer started her law enforcement career in 1998 as a dispatcher/jailer for the Lodi Police Department.  While she continues in that same position today, she is also a trainer, hostage negotiator, and her departments CLETS Trainer.  As an indication of how much her work means to her department and the people she works with, Jennifer was selected as the 2005 Lodi Police Department's Employee of the Year.

 Jennifer has been a member of CCUG since 2001.  While she's been active in CCUG by attending chapter meetings and conferences from the time she joined, she was elected to serve as the Northern Chapter Assistant Director in 2003 and again in 2004.  For 2005, Jennifer was elected to be the secretary of the Central Chapter and was elected to the position of Executive Director for 2006-2007.  With a desire to remain an active part of CCUG Jennifer accepted the nomination for Central Chapter secretary and was elected to serve in this position for 2008. 

When Jennifer has free time she likes to spend time with her son.  She also likes to read, dance, and watch football.
