Vickie Mootz, Chico Police Department
2008-2009 Northern Chapter Director

Vickie started her law enforcement career in 1989 as a public safety dispatcher for the Chico Police Department.  In 2000 she was promoted to the position of Communications/Records Supervisor, a position she still holds.  While Vickie is not the ATC for her agency, she works directly for the ATC and is involved in various CLETS issues for her department.

Vickie first became acquainted with CCUG in 2003.  Since that time she has attended CCUG conferences and the Northern Chapter meetings.  Vickie was elected to serve as the Northern Chapter Secretary in 2005 and again in 2006.  In 2006 Vickie was elected to serve as the 2007-2008 Assistant Director.  She accepted the nomination for Director and was elected to serve for the 2008-2009 term.

When Vickie has spare time she enjoys watching auto racing and can often be found at various sprint car tracks during the racing season.  She also enjoys kayaking, traveling, reading, and cooking.
