Training: K-9's Working With CLETS [0900-1100]
Presented by: Officer Brandon Heidelberg & K-9 Greif, Chino Police Department
The K-9 is a valuable tool in law enforcement. This presentation will focus on the connection between the use of K-9's and CLETS information that enables the K-9 to be utilized within the law while reducing liability for the agency. The focus will be on what information should be provided for the officer and his K-9 partner when responding to calls for service. To be sure, Greif will be showing off his abilities as well.
Training: Law Enforcement and the Public Records Act: The Nitty Gritty [1100-1200]
Presented by: Elizabeth Calciano, Jenkins & Holgin, LLP
A review of difficult issues in law enforcement agency responses to Public Records Act requests. Included in this presentation will be discussion about juvenile records, suspected child abuse reports, WIC § 5150 reports, elder and dependent adult abuse reports, requests for 911 tapes, and booking photos.
Training: Why Do I Have to Practice Customer Service? [1300-1600]
Presented by: Michael Fox, Dispatch Supervisor - San Bernardino Police Department
This class was developed to provide a basic understanding of the customer service tools to be used by anyone who answers the phone in a public safety agency. It has been designed to use interactive learning and other tools to help reinforce skills the student already possesses as well as build new skills.

Attend a chapter meeting FREE: if you get another agency to join that hasn’t been a member (as long as we've received a paid membership from the "new" agency prior to the start of that chapter meeting) you can attend a chapter meeting FREE.
Bring a co-worker: If you are a member of CCUG and more than one person from your agency is attending a chapter training meeting, the meeting fee will be $30 for the first person and $20 for each additional person from the same agency (attending the same chapter training meeting).
