This presentation will provide an overview of legal updates,including new and revised statutes recently adopted or enacted.  This will include any new laws for 2019.

Training:           Public Records Act [1200-1600]
Presented by:   Paul Coble, Law Firm of Jones and Mayer

Learn the statutory and case law requirements in the dissemination of public records to protect your agency.
Topics may include: 
    *  Overview of the California Public Records Act
    *  Records exempt from public disclosure
    *  Fees for PRA requests and other processes
    *  Record retention requirements
    *  Evidence Code 1403 and Subpoena Duces Tecum (SDT)
    *  Discovery in Federal Court

Attend a chapter meeting FREE: if you get another agency to join that hasn't been a member (as long as we've received a paid membership from the "new" agency prior to the start of that chapter meeting) you can attend a chapter meeting FREE.  

Bring a co-worker: If you are a member of CCUG and more than one person from your agency is attending a chapter training meeting, the meeting fee will be $30 for the first person and $25 for each additional person from the same agency (attending the same chapter training meeting).
