Proposed changes to the CCUG Bylaws

The CCUG Bylaws committee has recommended, and the CCUG Executive Board has concurred with, changes to the CCUG Bylaws. Before these changes are implemented, a vote of the CCUG membership is required. If ratified, these changes will be effective September 1, 2024

Please take a moment to review the changes and cast your vote to indicate if you feel these changes should be made. All votes must be received no later than August 1, 2024 .

The proposed bylaws changes are as follows:
Article I, Section 1.2 is changed to allow retiree members to serve in an appointed, non-voting board position.
Article III, Section 1.1 is changed to make the vote of an agency the consensus of all votes received by that agency.
Article III, Section 1.2 is changed to state all agency contacts listed on roster will receive notice.
Article III, Section 2.3 is added to codify the procedure to cure a tied vote for a chapter board position should it occur.
Article III, Section 2.4 is added to codify the procedure to cure a tied vote for the Executive Director position should it occur.
Article III, Section 2.5 (2.3 in existing bylaws, renumbered if above changes ratified) changes the responsibility for filling vacant chapter board positions from the Executive Board to the affected chapter board.
