Training: Stolen Vehicle System
Presented by: Alyssa Lucero, CA Department of Justice
General information will include an overview of the Stolen Vehicles System (SVS). The presentation will cover entry requirements, record types and retention periods, dealer plates, DOJ Stops and more! A reference guide will be provided to participants with information and tips to prevent any common mistakes when using the SVS database.
Training: CJIS Validations System
Presented by: Lucille Le, CA Department of Justice
General information will include an overview of the CJIS Validations database. The presentation will provide the purpose of Validations and what types of records need to be validated as well as how they are accomplished. Also, the CJIS Validation process will be explained using the Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) or User profile with their functions and features.

Training: CARPOS
Presented by: Anallely Rodriguez, CA Department of Justice
General information will include an overview of the California Restraining and Protective Order System (CARPOS) and the Gun Violence Restraining Orders (GVRO). With new legislation as of January 1, 2023, this course will include new updates and modifications to the database. Also included will be data entry information, mandatory orders, and various resources. Additional time will be provided for questions.

If your agency’s 2023 membership hasn’t been submitted yet, please do so online here. Membership cost covers your entire agency and entitles all agency employees to discounts at chapter trainings and annual seminar.
Attend a chapter meeting FREE: If you recruit another agency to join CCUG that hasn’t been a member you can attend a chapter meeting FREE (as long as we’ve received a paid membership from the “new” agency prior to the start of that chapter meeting).
Bring a co-worker: If your agency is a member of CCUG and more than one person from your agency is attending a chapter training meeting, the meeting fee will be $35 for the first person and $25 for each additional person from the same agency (attending the same chapter training meeting).
