We are pleased to announce that How to Make Teaching CLETS Fun will be offered as a 2021 CCUG Training & Technology Seminar Pre-Seminar Class. This training is being presented by Shannon Polito (Santa Clara County Communications). The cost of the course is $100 for members / $125 for non-members (this is not included in Seminar registration). This is a wonderful class and has received great reviews. It will be offered in conjunction with our Seminar on Monday, September 13, 2021. Class time is 0800-1700 and includes lunch.
CLETS is one of the most important and integral parts of doing our job as dispatchers. There is no doing the job without it and doing it well has immediate officer and public safety implications. However, most people experience CLETS as dry and tedious and they train it that way too. Did you know that training and learning it doesn’t have to be boring? That you can even have actual fun doing both?! Well you can! In this How to Make Teaching CLETS Fun course, you will not only get an introduction to each database with some tips and tricks for interpreting returns correctly, but you will also get to engage with the material using interactive games and activities! You will also get fun and innovative ideas to take back to your agencies so that interacting with CLETS never has to be boring again!
Eight hours of POST Credits are available for this class.
Class size is limited seating and is in high demand.
We will accept reservations until the class is full. If you are unable to secure a spot in the class, you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to request to be put on a waiting list.
Your paid registration must be received no later than August 21, 2021 or your reservation may be canceled.
Please note that this class, while hosted in conjunction with the CCUG Seminar, it is a separate class and requires a separate registration/payment. Registration for our Seminar will not ensure a spot is available in this class.
