2022-2023 Northern Chapter Director

​After working 20 years for the State of California in the fair industry, Denise made a career switch to law enforcement by joining the Napa Police Department in 2007 as a public safety dispatcher. In 2009, Denise began apprenticing as an assistant CLETS trainer for her agency, and now is the CLETS training team leader for the Napa Police Department.  She and her team coordinate quarterly CLETS updates and trainings, as well as ensure that all new hires receive the necessary initial CLETS training. Additionally, Denise serves on both the Incident Fire Dispatch and Tactical Dispatch teams for Napa.  

​Denise has been attending the CCUG conference since 2009. She was excited to become a member of the Northern Chapter Board as Treasurer when she was elected to serve for 2013, a position she was re-elected to for 2014.  Ever respected, Denise was elected to serve as the Northern Chapter secretary for 2015 and then, for the 2016-2017 term, Denise was elected to serve Northern Chapter Director.  For 2018-2019 Denise was elected to serve another term as the Northern Chapter Director. Denise was appointed as the Northern Chapter Assistant Director for 2020. Denise was elected to serve as the Northern Chapter Assistant Director for 2021-2022. She resigned as Assistant director when she was elected to serve as the Northern Chapter Director for 2022-2023.

When not at work, Denise, her husband and high school daughter, enjoy relaxing at home and anywhere around water, especially Cape Cod and Lake Tahoe
