Training:           What to Expect when you are Expecting an Audit [0830-1130]

This presentation will provide examples of what to expect for CORI, CLETS, and other Database Audits. Additional tips on how to organize documents and maintain records. Facilitated conversations regarding challenges and lessons learned.   Employee Testing and Vendor documentation, including new NexTEST requirements as of October 1, 2023 will be discussed.

Presented by: Oscar Acosta and Eric Russell, CA Department of Justice
Currently Oscar is a Field Representative in the CLETS Audits and Inspections Section providing training and conducting CLETS audits of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Agencies. Currently Eric is a Field Representative in DOJ’s Client Services Program providing training and conducting CLETS audits of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Agencies. Together they will cover all the updates and requirements for all DOJ training including new nexTEST requirements.  Additionally they will provide a Q&A – so bring your DOJ questions.

Attend a chapter meeting FREE: If you recruit another agency to join CCUG that hasn’t been a member you can attend a chapter meeting FREE (as long as we’ve received a paid membership from the “new” agency prior to the start of that chapter meeting).


Bring a co-worker: If your agency is a member of CCUG and more than one person from your agency is attending a chapter training meeting, the meeting fee will be $35 for the first person and $25 for each additional person from the same agency (attending the same chapter training meeting).
