Training: What to Expect when you are Expecting an Audit [0830-1130]
Presented By: Rebekah Biederman, La Verne PD
This presentation will provide examples of what to expect for CORI, CLETS, and other Database Audits. Additional tips on how to organize documents and maintain records. Facilitated conversations regarding challenges and lessons learned. Employee Testing and Vendor documentation will be discussed.
Training: Training Requirements, Updates and nexTEST – DOJ [1300-1600]
Presented by: Oscar Acosta and Eric Russell, CA Department of Justice
Currently Oscar and Eric are both DOJ Field Representatives providing training and conducting CLETS audits of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Agencies. Eric is assigned to DOJ’s Client Services Program and Oscar works in the CLETS Audits and Inspections Section. Together they will cover all the updates and requirements for all DOJ training including new nexTEST requirements. Additionally, they will provide a Q&A – so bring your DOJ questions.

If your agency’s 2024 membership hasn’t been submitted yet, please do so online here. Membership cost is an annual payment that covers your entire agency and entitles all agency employees to discounts at chapter trainings and annual seminar.
Attend a chapter meeting FREE: If you recruit another agency to join CCUG that hasn’t been a member you can attend a chapter meeting FREE (as long as we’ve received a paid membership from the “new” agency prior to the start of that chapter meeting).
Bring a co-worker: If your agency is a member of CCUG and more than one person from your agency is attending a chapter training meeting, the meeting fee will be $35 for the first person and $25 for each additional person from the same agency (attending the same chapter training meeting).
