2023 Southern Chapter Secretary

Rebekah began her Law Enforcement Career in 1991, as a Police Explorer, then moved onto what would be her lifelong career in 1994, when she was hired as a Public Safety Dispatcher with the La Habra Police Department.  In 2000, she went to work for West Cities Police Communications, where, in addition to dispatching, she served as a training officer and assisted with administrative duties.  In 2008, she was hired by the Chino Police Department as a Per-Diem Public Safety dispatcher.  In 2010, Rebekah transferred to the Investigations Bureau as a Crime Analyst.  In October 2013, she returned to her “roots” and took a full-time position back in the Communications Center at Chino Police Department.  Rebekah was involved in the agency’s CAD/RMS transition project, worked as a Designated Dispatcher and Communications Training Officer, and a member of the department’s Training Cadre.  In 2018 Rebekah accepted a position with the La Verne Police Department as the Communications’ Supervisor.

Rebekah has been a part of CCUG since 2015, when she was asked to teach a breakout session for the annual seminar.  This class led to opportunities to do what she loved, teach other dispatchers at the POST Basic Dispatch Academies.  Rebekah was elected to serve as the 2019 Southern Chapter Secretary and then, for 2020, she was elected to serve as the Southern Chapter Treasurer. Rebekah, was elected to serve as the Southern Chapter Treasurer in 2021 and 2022. Rebekah has been elected to serve as the secretary for 2023.

Rebekah is married with two boys and loves to travel, experience new places and meet new people.
