Brea Police Department
2024 Southern Chapter Treasurer
Elizabeth began her career in Law Enforcement in 2000, working in the Records department of the Brea Police Department. She worked the front counter, assisting officers with transcription, and putting together arrest packets for court. In 2003 she transferred to the field as a Police Service Officer responding to calls for service for traffic collisions, fraud and theft reports and a touch of CSI, until 2008 when she transferred into the Communications Center. In short order she became a Communications Training Officer and in 2014 became a Dispatch Senior. In 2019 she became a North County Swat (NCS) dispatcher, then in 2022, a SWAT Tactical Assistant Supervisor. From January 2018 until January 2022 she held af Emergency Number Professional (ENP) certificate. She has both an AS and BS in Criminal Justice and a Human Resources Management certificate. She has also completed many classes in FEMA for critical incidents and disasters to mass casualty incidents. Elizabeht attended Civilian Leadership Institute (CLI) in 2022.
Dispatch and Records has been Elizabeth’s passion and attending CCUG has given her the ability to be more well rounded and able to help others so that we are all consistent. CCUG has also given her the tools to help patrol, Police Service Officers, and Parking Control Officers on how to complete paperwork for entries. Occasionally she is able to help other agencies that don’t have the ability to come to CCUG.
During her down time she loves spending time with her husband (20 years) and son, whether riding in the desert or to the river. She is currently in training to obtain her private pilots license to fly airplanes for pleasure. She has two dogs, Ashley Marie (Minpin) and Mollie Mae (Pug) that keep her busy and grounded.
When a vacancy occurred, Elizabeth was the first choice of the CCUG Southern Chapter board to serve as their treasurer for 2024.
