2024 Executive Treasurer
Sheila began her Law Enforcement career with the San Diego Harbor Police Department in 1994 were she worked as a Dispatcher, Communications Training Officer and Dispatch Supervisor. Sheila focused her professional development in the area of training and has developed and delivered POST courses throughout the state, instructed for the local Dispatcher Academy, is a CLETS trainer, an ACC and is a nationally certified instructor for FEMA/CDP. Her current assignment is as the Dispatch Supervisor for the San Diego Community College Police Department.
Sheila has been involved with CCUG since attending her first conference in 1998 and accepted the nomination as 2014 Southern Chapter Secretary, to which she was elected by the Southern Chapter members. She looks forward to working with CCUG in her new position. For 2015 the CCUG Southern Chapter again elected Sheila to serve as their secretary. In part because of all Sheila brings to CCUG she was elected to be the 2016-2017 Southern Chapter Director, then in 2017 she was selected by the CCUG membership to serve as Executive Director for 2018-2019. Sheila was re-elected as Executive Director for 2020-2021.
Sheila was appointed to serve as the Southern Chapter’s Assistant Director for 2022 when the position became vacant. Sheila was then elected to serve the 2023-2024 term as the Assistant Director for the Southern Chapter. Sheila resigned her position as Assistant Director when she was appointed to serve as the 2024 Executive Treasurer
